Choosing between HTML5 and Qt for a development project is a pressing topic. However, they’re based on different architectures. Qt lets you develop both backends and frontends, while Web applications on their own are limited to only displaying frontends. For fairness, you would have to compare them both on a full-stack basis.
Sequality’s Stefan Larndorfer has done just that in his latest white paper and will share his insights on the respective advantages and challenges of an architecture of HTML5 applications including their backend software layers, vs. the architecture of Qt applications.
