Technical Learning Content Creator

Espoo, Finland | Oslo, Norway | Berlin, Germany | Oulu, Finland

About the Role

About the Role

We want to offer world-class learning experiences for all Qt users and support Qt developers throughout their careers by creating pedagogically robust ways of learning tech.

That’s why we are looking for a Technical Learning Content Creator to join our Product Management team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to create digital learning content for developers, technical artists, QA engineers, students, and all tech enthusiasts around the world. You will be able to use your creative and technological skills to create impactful online courses and videos from concept to final finishing in collaboration with subject matter experts.

In this role, you will have a direct impact on developing the Qt online course offering at qt.io/learn. In your first project, you will create courses for Qt Academy, our new Qt learning program. You will work closely with the subject matter experts to plan, create, review, and edit online courses, videos, and other learning materials.

To make sure you can succeed in this role, we provide thorough onboarding, realistic target-setting, and support from the team. You will work closely with the Learning Manager and other people at Qt, as well as with the Qt community worldwide. You will also have opportunities to learn and expand your expertise based on your interests. From you, we expect a hands-on approach to instructional content creation and a curious mindset, above all.

The content will be deeply technical. Even though we are not expecting you to be an expert Qt user, technical background and basic understanding are needed to be successful in this position.

You could be our new Technical Learning Content Creator if you:

  • Have experience in creating videos with tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Powtoon, or others. By experience, we mean that you have planned, shot, edited, and published them, but let’s be realistic – you don’t need to be a visual effects professional.
  • Have experience in digital content creation in general. Maybe you have written blogs, created infographics, or recorded podcasts? All of those skills are useful when creating engaging digital learning content.
  • Have an interest in creating effective learning experiences. Regardless of your background, you enjoy sharing knowledge and are willing to put effort into creating inspiring learning content.
  • Are curious, creative, and enjoy problem-solving. This means that you like to proactively learn new things and are not afraid of even complex tech topics.
  • Get things done. We believe in an iterative process: create, gather feedback, and develop further.
  • Like to collaborate with people. Creating learning content requires cross-functional collaboration, and you will be working with substance-matter experts across the company.
  • Have an eye for detail and focus on quality.
  • Can communicate effectively in English, both in writing and face-to-face.

Perhaps you also:

  • Have experience in instructional design and online pedagogy, such as creating courses with Articulate Rise or other tools.
  • Have experience in Learning Management Systems.
  • Have experience in creating videos with tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Powtoon, or others. By experience, we mean that you have planned, shot, edited, and published them, but let’s be realistic – you don’t need to be a visual effects professional.

We offer you:

  • Flexible hours & hybrid working model to support your work/life balance
  • A family-friendly, international, diverse, and sociable workplace where learning is valued
  • Comprehensive health care + health insurance
  • Mobile phone & subscription
  • Ergonomic equipment
  • Mental health support by our partner Auntie
  • Other local benefits
