Install Squish

This evaluation guide assumes you have an active Squish GUI Tester evaluation or commercial license.

1. Open Setup

Run the setup application (Squish-*.exe on Windows), located in the download folder.

Enter your license key when prompted (Available in the License Keys area of your customer portal).

2. Specify Options

Edition-specific options may not apply to all editions. Detailed install guides.

Java: Specify the JRE which corresponds to your application. Help
Qt: Specify Qt library path (QtCore file) which corresponds to your application if prompted. Help
Web:

  • Specify additional browsers to configure
  • Uncheck Java applets support if not applicable
  • Specify the JRE which corresponds to your application. Help

3. Setup Finish

Upon clicking Finish:

  • The Squish IDE and/or manual open based upon options selected
  • The Squish IDE (squishide executable) is installed and available from the root directory in the originally extracted Squish package location
