Clive "Max" Maxfield is a freelance technical consultant and writer. Max received his BSc in Control Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University, England, in 1980 and began his career as a designer of central processing units (CPUs) for mainframe computers. Over the years, Max has designed everything from silicon chips to circuit boards and from brainwave amplifiers to Steampunk Prognostication Engines (don't ask).

Well-known throughout the embedded systems and EDA industries, Max is the author of a number of books, including Designus Maximus Unleashed (Banned in Alabama), Bebop to the Boolean Boogie (An Unconventional Guide to Electronics), EDA (Where Electronics Begins), The Design Warrior’s Guide to FPGAS, and How Computers Do Math.

Gray Holland made a career focused on taking complexity out of user experiences — Creating things Flow. He is constantly reinventing how UX/UI is crafted and executed — making testing a central part of the R&D process. And he builds design-centered teams within every project — because Great Experiences start with the people inside the company itself.

Since joining Tableau in 2015, Sam Thibault has lead teams supporting the development of Tableau Desktop and the broader use of Qt at Tableau.  Prior to Tableau he worked extensively with teams building UI and has worked in domains spanning data visualization, modeling and simulation, real-time data processing, and game development.

Euan Cameron, CTO of Esri, is responsible for Developer Technology at Esri and views a well-designed API as valuable as any work of art. Euan has worked in the geospatial software industry for over 30 years and continues to have fun innovating with maps and technology. Euan is an outdoor enthusiast and can often be found in the Sierra Nevada Mountains climbing, skiing, or hiking.

Cosmin is a senior engineer on the OneDrive Sync Client team where he works on the Windows and Mac OS X desktop apps.

He has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Richmond and has worked at Microsoft since 2010.
