Nokia N9. Great Qt-powered Linux phone to target using the Qt SDK
June 21, 2011 by Aron Kozak | Comments
At Nokia Connections event in Singapore the new Qt-powered Nokia N9 was announced. This new Linux device features a completely new user interface where navigating is done with a simple swipe of the finger. The Nokia N9 runs MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan and means that Qt-based apps can be ported to run on this new device.
In combination with the Nokia N9 announcement, we have just released an update to the Qt SDK to get feedback and to improve the experimental MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan target for the up-coming Nokia N9.
The experimental MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan target within the Qt SDK includes limited and experimental functionality and is a starting point for developers that want to create Qt apps for Ovi store. For more details on this SDK update, please see the release blog on Qt Labs and get your packages in the usual spot.
Happy hacking!
