(Senior) Lead, Internal Controls

We are looking for a (Senior) Lead, Internal Controls to bring a systematic approach to our internal controls, risk management, and process governance. In your role, you would contribute to improving our business processes and operations and ensure that Qt continuously improves its processes and controls to mitigate business risk.

To succeed in this role, we require prior experience in internal audit and/or accounting and look for self-starters with a hands-on attitude.

This position is located in Qt's headquarters in Espoo, Finland with the requirement for international travel.

Your work at Qt

• Assess and review internal controls and identify opportunities for improvement. Implement necessary and agreed corrective actions and improvements as a follow-up
• Build and develop Qt’s internal controls to ensure that sufficient preventative and detective controls are in place. Drive the implementation of key controls in close collaboration with business stakeholders
• Plan and deliver internal assessments and risk management projects. Provide guidance to the organization for improvements
• Evaluate financial and operational risks and communicate and drive activities to mitigate risks. Provide regular updates on the status of risk management-related work to key stakeholders, together with the tracking of open actions
• Agree on assessment plans with management, and report the outcomes to Group management
• Apply previous experience and accepted Group practices to oversee the development of corrective recommendations and other improvement suggestions
• Perform special projects and contribute to improvement efforts of Qt business processes and operations

Skills & Qualifications

• A qualified accountant and/or auditor with experience working for a large accounting firm and/or public company
• Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing, methodologies and strategies to provide assurance over internal controls and to embed risk management activities
• Experience in planning and delivering assessments in complex business processes or systems and generating commercially relevant recommendations
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, coupled with the ability to engage with leaders and process owners throughout the business on matters which could have a significant business impact
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with flexibility and adaptability to change, with resilience and a willingness to take on challenges
• Organized, diligent, self-starter, and team player
• Certified Information Auditor (CIA) is a plus.
• Eager to learn quickly and to obtain extensive experience in an exciting, fast-moving, international business. Ability to navigate in a multi-cultural international context.
• Willingness to travel: this position requires international traveling
