About the Role
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our R&D department in Berlin, Germany or in Oulu, Finland.
Your mission will be to improve the quality of Qt Creator, our IDE, which is developed as an open source project. We benefit from a co-located team of experts, but also from a global community. This is reflected in our work, we are cooperative, provide great mentoring, growing, and learning together in a friendly environment.
You will...
- work closely with the rest of the team to improve Qt Creator
- maintain the existing QA infrastructure, and develop it further
- maintain some of the unit and system tests yourself, and guide other engineers in this area
- monitor and prioritize bug reports, both from customers and the community
- review other people's code contributions
You...
- have a solid background in software engineering and software testing
- have some understanding of C++ and Python
- feel at home on several operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- have good communication skills
- are proficient in English - knowledge of German is not necessary
Ideally, you...
- have experience with Jenkins, or a similar product
- have experience with Squish
- have done contributions to open source projects
