Mobile World Congress Day 1

Comments

Mobile World Congress started with a bang. The Nokia and Intel MeeGo announcement and the revelation that Qt is the development framework for MeeGo put Qt onto lots of people’s radar screens.

Our Qt Quick announcement and demos were well received and many people were excited to see how Quick is going to work. Lots of smaller, mobile app specialists saw it and immediately realised it was a way for more developers to target lots and lots of devices.

There was good press interest on day one as well as a lot of people new to Qt who saw first-hand proof of how great working with Qt can be.

Day two is going to be filled with meetings, analysts, press and of course demos.

Barcelona has turned on two dismal rainy days in a row - so far the only sightseeing that’s been done has been from under an umbrella.
