Recruiting register
Personal data is used for recruiting processes.
The Recruiting register contains information of the potential employees of Qt to the extent that such information is reasonably necessary to effectively carry out the recruiting process. Such information includes, for example, names, position, company and personal addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, companies the employee works for, social security numbers, payroll information, education, training, work history, and appraisal information (including background information) related to the prospective employee.
Qt will only store the personal data for as long as it is relevant but in no event longer than 6 months from the end of the respective recruitment process.
Personal data is primarily collected directly from the respective prospective employee.
Further, personal data may also be collected, always in full compliance with the limitations of the applicable data protection law, from the subordinates, peers and superiors of the employee as well as applicable authorities.
To comply with its statutory obligations under the applicable laws, it is reasonably necessary for Qt to disclose information from the recruiting register to tax, social security and other authorities (such as ELY-keskus in Finland for the purposes of work safety reporting and audits) as well as insurance companies.
Personal data may also be disclosed to affiliates of Qt in other countries.
Qt may outsource any services (or parts thereof) regarding the register to a third party. Further, Qt may disclose personal data to relevant authorities pursuant to applicable laws.
Qt has affiliates outside the EU/EEA region and the personal data in this register may be disclosed to such Qt affiliates. Other transfers outside the EU/EEA will be undertaken only within the limits permitted under the applicable data protection laws.
With respect to electronic data:
All electronic data is stored on servers provided by a third party. Qt has appropriate data security measures in place to protect all collected personal data. Qt will ensure that the registers will not be subject to access by unauthorized persons or unlawful processing or other damage.
With respect to data on papers:
Qt ensures that all papers containing personal data are protected in an appropriate manner and Qt has sufficient measures in place to monitor any unauthorized access.
In case Qt is subject to damage, destruction or other similar event that Qt could not possibly have prevented, Qt will notify the data subject immediately in accordance with the obligations of the applicable laws. Qt is not, however, liable for such unpredictable events.
According to the General Data Protection Regulation, data subjects have the following rights regarding their personal data:
- Right of access to their personal data
- Right to request the controller to rectify incomplete or incorrect personal data
- Right to object to or restrict the processing of personal data and to object to automated decision-making
- Right to request the controller to erase personal data
- Right to transfer personal data to another controller
If the data subject wishes to exercise his or her rights, he or she should contact the Controller via email to gdpr@qt.io. Qt will use all reasonably available resources to respond to any such request without undue delay. Limitations prescribed in applicable law may apply regarding exercise of some of the data subjects above rights.
