    In one of their most recent projects, Algebra is developing and operating a solution for touchless coffee machine interaction with a mobile app and high-end coffee machine experience, both based on Qt. 

    On the mobile app, you can find your nearest coffee machine, pre-order the product you’d like, and when you arrive at the machine, you just scan QR code on the machine with your mobile phone application to give an order, then your coffee is served. The payment remains as a bill on your account within the application itself. 

    Qt – A scalable technology solution

    Algebra’s requirement was for a multi or cross-OS product, including a mobile app developed for iOS and Android, as well as a primary embedded target hardware device (the coffee machine). The application needed to be able to be connected through either a cloud-based infrastructure or locally – all achievable through MQTT. 

    Qt’s Digital Advertising platform provided the perfect solution to help with monetization of both their embedded device and mobile application as they proposed a nice HMI (Human-Machine Interaction) on the coffee machine itself.

    Future Plans? 

    During the next phase of their development, Algebra, working closely with the help of the Qt Digital Advertising team, will continue to optimize their revenue by identifying and analyzing the real audience and demographics of the machines as they are quite often located in public places. 

    In this case, the Digitals Advertising revenues are not driven by users of the coffee machines itself, but by the real audience who are travelling across the embedded device screen.
