About the Role 

The Business Development Specialist – Qt+QA Product Specialist is responsible for identifying, developing, and advancing new business opportunities for Qt products and Qt Quality Assurance software tools, collectively referred to as Qt+QA.  

This role focuses on proactively generating outbound leads, engaging potential customers and partners, communicating Qt+QA’s value proposition, and supporting opportunities through to the completion of the product evaluation stage.  

The position also plays a key role in identifying new market segments, developing customer-specific proposals and demos, executing field marketing activities, and building a partner ecosystem to expand Qt+QA business opportunities, particularly in the automotive and embedded software sectors. 
 
Possible location for this position is Seoul, South Korea.  

 

What You’ll Do  

  1. New Business Development and Lead Generation   
  • Proactively research, identify, and engage potential customers and business partners to generate outbound leads and create new business opportunities for Qt+QA.   
  • Position Qt+QA with a strong product value proposition as a product specialist.   
  • Develop and progress qualified opportunities through to the completion of the product evaluation stage.   
  1. Market and Customer Needs Analysis   
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and customer needs to identify new market segments and growth opportunities for Qt+QA.   
  • Analyze customer requirements and market dynamics to develop targeted business development strategies.   
  • Identify opportunities to enhance value for existing customers and expand Qt+QA adoption.   
  1. Product Knowledge, Demos, Proposals, and POC Projects   
  • Continuously stay up to date on the latest Qt+QA product features, use cases, and industry applications.   
  • Translate product knowledge into tailored demos, customer-specific proposals, and POC projects.   
  • Develop solution packages and messaging aligned with the needs of targeted Korean customer groups.   
  • Analyze customer project requirements and propose creative, practical solutions that demonstrate the value of Qt+QA.   
  1. Field Marketing Execution   
  • Execute field marketing plans as a Business Development Specialist.   
  • Plan, host, and participate in webinars, seminars, conferences, workshops, trade shows, and other relevant online and offline events to generate high-quality outbound leads working closely with the Marketing team.   
  • Deliver compelling presentations & other product preparations supported by sales engineers that clearly communicate the Qt+QA value proposition to target customers and partners.   
  1. Partner Ecosystem Development   
  • Build and nurture an ecosystem around Qt+QA by collaborating with industry-related partners.   
  • Work with system integrators, service providers, license distributors, and global/local chipset or board vendors.   
  • Identify and pursue new customer opportunities together with partners, especially in the automotive sector.   
  • Strengthen partner relationships to expand Qt+QA market coverage and business opportunities.   
  1. Internal Collaboration and Market Feedback   
  • Act as a liaison between the market and internal teams.   
  • Gather customer feedback and share market insights with Product Management, R&D, and Marketing teams.   
  • Contribute to product direction, market positioning, and value delivery improvements.   
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales team to hand over qualified Qt+QA business opportunities for successful deal closure.   

What You Bring to the Table  
 

  • Business-fluent English proficiency.   
  • More than 5 years of account management or business development experience in vertical market software solution sales, including consumer electronics, medical devices, automation, automotive, and ISVs.   
  • Proven track record in software solution sales, with previous sales achievements provided.   
  • Experience in solution selling and project selling within the software license business.   
  • Strong understanding and practical execution of the MEDDIPIC-based sales process across opportunity qualification, customer engagement, evaluation, and deal progression.   
  • Ability to analyze customer project requirements and propose value-based solutions aligned with business and technical needs.   
  • Strong communication skills, IT fluency, and the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, partners, and internal teams.   
  • Proactive, well-organized, and result-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage complex projects and work effectively in uncertain business environments. 

Bonus Points For... 
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent software programming experience.   
  • Knowledge of Qt and/or other software development frameworks, GUI development frameworks, or graphics toolkits.   
  • Experience or knowledge in QA tool-related business development or sales.   
  • Understanding of embedded software, automotive software, or GUI development environments is a plus.
