About the Role

経営層や現場のキーパーソンと信頼関係を築き、ソフトウェアアーキテクチャ解析・静的ソースコード解析・シナリオベーステスト等のソフトウェア検証のためのツールの価値とソリューションを提案していただきます。コンサルティング営業のアプローチで、顧客の開発時における課題の解決とビジネス成果の最大化を支援するポジションです。 

 

Qt is currently being adopted by customers across a wide range of industries in Japan, and the Japanese market is one of the most strategically important markets for Qt. To further strengthen our customer base in this market, we are seeking an Account Manager to drive the expansion of our software verification tool products and services. 

In this role, you will build strong, trusted relationships with executive stakeholders and key decision-makers at customer organizations. You will be responsible for proposing the value and solutions of software verification tools—including software architecture analysis, static source code analysis, and scenario-based testing—to address customers’ development challenges. 

This position requires a consultative sales approach, supporting customers in solving development-phase issues and maximizing their business outcomes through effective software quality and verification solutions. This is a hybrid in-office role in Tokyo. 

 

What You’ll Do  

 

  • ソフトウェア検証ツールの顧客ベースを構築し、新規ロゴ獲得に向けた戦略を策定・実行 

  • 有機的成長および長期的な企業目標の達成に向け、顧客との戦略的かつ継続的な関係の構築・維持 

  • 見込み客の開拓からクロージング(商業契約交渉を含む)まで、セールスサイクル全体を主導・管理する 

  • 顧客エンゲージメントにおける戦略的・運用的・戦術的な計画と実行を担う 

  • 事業開発マネージャー、インダストリーリーダー、アカウント営業と連携し、顧客に対して一貫したビジョンを提示する 

  • 業界イベントに参加し、ソフトウェア検証製品および関連サービスの認知拡大・プロモーションを実施する 

  • 必要に応じて担当地域への出張を行い(全業務の約50%)、見込み客や既存顧客へのプレゼンテーションを実施する 

 

  • Build and expand the customer base for software verification tools, and define and execute strategies to acquire new logos. 
  • Establish and maintain strategic, long-term relationships with customers to drive organic growth and achieve long-term corporate objectives. 
  • Lead and manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting through closing, including commercial contract negotiations. 
  • Develop and execute strategic, operational, and tactical plans for customer engagement. 
  • Collaborate closely with Business Development Managers, Industry Leaders, and Account Sales teams to present a consistent and unified vision to customers. 
  • Participate in industry events to promote and increase awareness of software verification products and related services. 
  • Travel within the assigned territory as required (approximately 50% of the role) to deliver presentations to prospective and existing customers. 

 

What You Bring to the Table

  • 豊富な技術知識を持ち、ソフトウェア開発チームに対して製品の持つソリューションの価値や技術的メリットを伝えることができる方 
  • 5年以上の営業の経験、特に自動車、医療機器、産業用オートメーションなどの分野で深い知識を持ち、顧客の課題やコンプライアンス要件に対する理解のある方 
  • 機能安全や組込みシステムに関する知識が豊富で、技術的なバイヤーと良好な関係を築ける方 
  • ソフトウェア検証ツールに関する確かな基礎知識を持ち、開発者チームをターゲットにしたソフトウェア営業経験がある方 
  • 日本語:ネイティブレベル、英語:ビジネスレベル

  • Proven experience in acquiring new customers through cold calling, prospecting, and consultative sales approaches. 
  • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to clearly articulate the value and technical benefits of solutions to software development teams. 
  • More than 5 years of sales experience, with deep knowledge of industries such as automotive, medical devices, and industrial automation, and a solid understanding of customer challenges and compliance requirements. 
  • Extensive knowledge of functional safety and embedded systems, with the ability to build strong relationships with technical buyers. 
  • A solid foundational understanding of software verification tools, along with experience in selling software solutions to developer teams. 
  • Native-level Japanese proficiency and business-level English proficiency.

  • ソフトウェアエンジニアリングまたは関連分野の学歴があれば尚可 

 

  • Understanding of software development processes and the common challenges and pain points faced by developers and testers 
  • Experience in selling software engineering tools such as code analysis, architecture analysis, requirements engineering, ALM, etc. 
  • Knowledge of value-based selling, solution selling, and creating long-term business relationships in the software licensing industry 
  • Target-driven and results-focused personality to deliver overachievement against clear objectives and business development targets 
  • Proven track record of building satisfied, loyal, and referenceable customers 
  • Ability to demonstrate the value proposition and ROI of quality assurance products to potential customers 
  • An educational background in software engineering or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
