About the Role
Qt Group is seeking a Commercial Account Executive to join our Americas Sales Team and own new-logo acquisition across the West Territory.
In this role, you will sell into small and mid-sized companies across key verticals including industrial, medical, consumer, automotive, aerospace & defense, and high-tech manufacturing. Your primary focus will be on prospecting, qualifying, and closing net-new customers, building Qt’s footprint in greenfield and under-penetrated accounts throughout the region.
You will work closely with engineering and product stakeholders at target accounts to uncover technical and business needs and position the value of Qt’s portfolio, including the Qt framework and our Software Quality solutions. This is a hunter role designed for someone who thrives on outbound prospecting, building pipeline from scratch, and converting first-time buyers into long-term customers.
This is a hybrid in-office role based in Boston, MA or Dallas, TX.
What You’ll Do
- Own new-logo acquisition across a defined West Territory
- Prospect into greenfield and under-penetrated accounts using outbound, events, and other channels
- Build and qualify pipeline with small and mid-sized engineering-driven organizations
- Convert marketing-generated leads into net-new revenue opportunities
- Run the full sales cycle from first contact through close
- Deliver tailored demos, presentations, and proposals aligned to customer needs
- Create territory plans, account strategies, and accurate forecasts
- Engage engineering managers, product leaders, and technical decision-makers
- Partner with Solutions Engineering, Marketing, Legal, and Customer Success on deal execution
- Maintain consistent outbound activity and pipeline generation aligned to new-business
What You Bring to the Table
- 3–5+ years of B2B software sales experience
- Demonstrated success closing net-new customers and generating your own pipeline
- Strong outbound prospecting and territory-building skills
- Experience running a full sales cycle from first outreach to signed contract
- Ability to translate technical solutions into business value
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with MEDDPICC or similar structured sales methodologies
- Salesforce experience

- Existing relationships with engineering-led companies in the Western U.S.
