Behavior Driven Development - A Human Centric Approach | #SquishDays2021
Frequently in real-life software development projects, the end product fails to satisfy the customer's requirements. The many nuances of what the customer really wanted and how those requirements were communicated to and understood by the development team, plus the technical challenges of the product requirements, are often lost in (mis)communication. Fortunately, Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), as an agile software development methodology, provides software teams, business personnel, and other stakeholders with ways and means to solve some of those problems. In this talk, we'll explore the human and social aspects of BDD with the Squish GUI Tester. We will examine not only how some of its BDD-focused tools can facilitate efficient communication and collaboration across the board, but also how these tools can help us implement some software engineering best practices while reducing technical debt.
