Comply With NVIDIA’s Guidelines for CUDA C++, Benefit From an Extended Tool Qualification Kit and Stay on top of Things With Additional CWE Rules

We are pleased to announce the release of Axivion 7.11, which comes with exciting new capabilities for improved security and usability. Developers can continue to rely on Axivion being up to speed with the latest versions of the most important industry standards and coding guidelines – including the just published CUDA C++ Guidelines for Robust and Safety-Critical Programming. The latest release also includes improvements to the usability and introduces Rust as latest addition to the supported programming languages.

Enhanced Axivion for CUDA

After the successful introduction of Axivion for CUDA last spring, the latest release now has impressive new features to offer. Not only have the compliance checks for CUDA code according to the MISRA standards been improved, customers can now also check if their CUDA C++ code complies with NIVIDIA’s CUDA C++ Guidelines for Robust and Safety-Critical Programming. This is a unique opportunity for developers using CUDA C++ for applications in safety-critical environments (automotive, medical, etc.). Axivion makes it easy for CUDA developers to comply with the new guidelines without the need to first study the rules in detail.

The updated Tool Qualification Kit now also allows developers to validate Axivion as a suitable tool for use with CUDA C++ - including the MISRA rules and the CUDA C++ Guidelines - making it easier to prepare the certification of CUDA projects.

Tool Qualification for Axivion Architecture Verification

The updated Tool Qualification Kit now also includes Axivion Architecture Verification. Playing an essential part in ensuring high-quality software in safety-critical environments, architecture verification can protect software components from unintended influence. The Axivion Tool Qualification Kit can now be used when needing to prove this software segregation or freedom from interference.

Up to Date With the Latest Security Standards

Delivering outstanding security-related features remains a top priority. Axivion is ideal for software development in safety-critical environments, such as automotive, medical or industrial automation. To ensure developers can easily meet the strict requirements of regulations and guidelines, Axivion not only comes with an improved Tool Qualification Kit but has also once again added more rules from the CWE list; this time also including some for C#.

New Language Added: Support of Rust

Axivion_languages_840x470pxThe new release supports Rust by including basic functionality for architecture verification, cycle detection and metrics. Rust is also part of the reporting and works with the plugins for the most common IDEs. This initial integration lays the groundwork for further development in the coming months and expands Axivion’s multi-language capabilities.
