Squish 9.0.1: Qt 6.9, Android 15, 64-bit Web

The Squish team is happy to announce the release of Squish GUI Tester 9.0.1, the software quality assurance tool for cross-platform GUI application test automation.

Squish for Qt 6.9 is here

The first maintenance release in 9.0 series closely follows the release of Qt 6.9 and delivers matching Squish for Qt binary and source packages for all major platforms. This allows users to keep their automated tests running as they migrate their applications to the emerging versions of Qt.

Squish for Android supports Android 15

We extended Squish for Android to feature full support for testing applications on Android 15, including Android OS derivatives such as Android Automotive or Android TV. Android Automotive support includes instrumentation, full replay capability as well as property introspection and verification.

Squish for Web binary packages for 64-bit Windows

Starting with this release, Squish for Web is additionally offered as a 64-bit binary package for Windows (previously, only 32-bit binary packages were available for this platform). This change primarily addresses the needs of users who automate their applications using Python and rely upon architecture-specific external Python modules

Last but not least, we fixed more than 30 bugs in all Squish editions and source packages. Check out 9.0.1
release notes for a detailed list of changes as well as our knowledge base for a list of known issues
specific to this release. Due to the wide impact we would like to point out specifically a known issue when using Squish with the latest releases of Google Chrome and Chromium browser (136 and newer).

Customers and current evaluators can download Squish GUI Tester 9.0.1 binary and source packages from the Qt Customer Portal. If you are new to Squish and interested in evaluating any Squish edition for free, you can request a fully functional trial here.
