The Squish team is happy to announce the release of Squish GUI Tester 9.2.1, your ultimate tool for automated GUI testing. As a patch release, Squish 9.2.1 stabilizes integration with the Qt License Server (QLS) and delivers several critical bug fixes across multiple components of the product.
Improved Qt License Server (QLS) Support
In the previous release, we enabled Squish clients to request a license from an on-premise Qt License Server (QLS), but the feature was still finding its footing. In this release, we focused on making the QLS experience more solid and predictable in that we resolved most of the Squish 9.2.0 known issues:
- installation and uninstallation with QLS on Windows is now reliable and less error-prone
- we stabilized Squish IDE when operating over slow or unreliable network connections to QLS
-
and fixed a critical issue when configuring FLS-QLS bridge
Critical Bug Fixes and Compatibility Improvements
We resolved several critical issues found in the previous release in the area of recording on Android Automotive, video capture across all platforms, and VNC compatibility. For a detailed breakdown of the most important changes, refer to the Squish 9.2.1 release notes. A list of known issues specific to this release is also available in the knowledge base.
