The vision for starting the project was to reduce the number of displays in the machinery cabin and create an application-based product that would allow their customers to integrate several applications into one display. As the OEM’s are machine builders and machine automation experts, there was a clear requirement for the tool to be simple and easy to work with.

The Qt Consulting team worked together with Parker Hannifin to develop Parker Application Designer, which includes a graphical editor that lets OEMs layout the user interfaces. It also features functionalities to easily manage communication.

"The wow-effect was there when you program with QML. It keeps on astonishing with it’s ease-of-use and efficiency. I got that feeling right in the beginning and it has even amplified along the way. QML has provided a solid base for our software."

Tommi Forsman, Principal Engineer, Parker Hannifin
