The 2010 edition of Gulltasten, the Norwegian mobile industry’s highest awards, was held last week and we were pleased to see the Nokia N8 walk away with two major awards – best camera phone of 2010, and best multimedia phone of 2010.
We see any win for the N8 as a win for Qt, given the N8 was the first Nokia device to ship with Qt on board. It also leads the pack of new Symbian^3 devices that Qt developers are able to target with their applications.
Congratulations to the Nokia N8 team and Nokia Norway on these well deserved awards. The spoils from the awards night are sitting proudly in the Qt/Nokia Norway office for all to see.
PS Another highlight of Gulltasten was an electric boogie performance by our own Knut Yrvin, who was invited to show the boogie skills that took him all the way to the final of ‘Norway’s Got Talent’.
