Qt for MCUs 2.12.2 LTS has been released and is available for download. This patch release provides several bug fixes and other improvements while maintaining source compatibility with Qt for MCUs 2.12 (see Qt for MCUs 2.12 LTS released). This release does not add any new functionality however as part of a continuous effort to scale Qt for MCUs to more platforms new Tier-2 board Nuvoton Gerda-4L is now available.
Improvements to Infineon Traveo T2G
A series of improvements have been introduced to the Infineon Traveo T2G platform which has a big impact on the application performance. The most important of them are enabling instruction and data caches that has an improvement of the average FPS by 40-50%, while reducing the CPU load by at least 30%.

Nuvoton platform introduction
Nuvoton Gerda 4L, an automotive focused Cortex-M7 based microcontroller, is now upgraded and performance enhanced to a Tier-2 platform. An out-of-the box Qt Creator kit is available for this platform through Qt online installer. This is one of the first platform supporting uITRON (Micro ITRON) OS by Qt for MCUs.

As with other Qt products, Qt for MCUs 2.12.2 LTS can be added to an existing installation by using the maintenance tool or via a clean installation using Qt Online Installer.
The standard support period for the Qt for MCUs 2.12 LTS continues until May 2027, while we are working on another patch release in the last quarter of 2026 with improved Zephyr OS integration and necessary support for object awareness feature by Squish.
