About Qt
Want to hear a secret? Qt is everywhere. Our scalable and reliable software tools power billions of devices and applications worldwide, transforming complexity into clarity and enabling innovation at a scale. From smart devices to critical systems, our technology is behind the experiences people rely on every day. We’re a global team driven by curiosity, collaboration, and a shared mission to build what matters. Qt is where software excellence begins—and where your next chapter starts.
About the Role
We are looking for an Account Manager to own non-key automotive (Tier-2/3) and SMB accounts for the sales growth of Qt's software licensing business in Korea. This role covers two strategic product lines:
- Software Development Licenses — Qt's commercial framework and IDE licenses used by engineering teams to build applications
- Software Quality Assurance Licenses — Qt's test automation and static analysis toolchain, including Squish, Coco, and Axivion, addressing functional safety and quality assurance requirements
This is a quota-carrying, individual-contributor role with full ownership of the Korea pipeline — from prospecting and qualification through to close and renewal. You will work closely with pre-sales engineers, marketing, and our global sales organisation to deliver against annual revenue targets.
What You’ll Do
1. Software Development License Sales
- Identify, qualify, and close new commercial licensing opportunities across Qt's development license portfolio
- Manage existing accounts to drive renewals, upsell, and cross-sell — growing ARR across the Korea region
- Analyse customer engineering requirements and recommend the most appropriate licensing model (per-developer, floating, OEM distribution, etc.)
- Partner with pre-sales engineers to run proof-of-concept evaluations and technical pilots
- Negotiate commercial terms and manage contract execution in line with Qt's pricing and deal approval policies
2. Quality Assurance License Sales
- Lead sales efforts for Qt's verification and quality toolchain: Squish (GUI test automation), Coco (code coverage), and Axivion (static analysis / architecture verification)
- Engage customers in automotive, medical, and industrial sectors where functional safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 62304, DO-178C) drive toolchain requirements
- Develop and articulate compelling value propositions differentiated from competitive solutions
- Support and enable partner / reseller channel activity where applicable
3. Pipeline & Reporting
- Own and maintain an accurate, up-to-date pipeline in Salesforce (CRM), including stage progression, close dates, and ARR forecasting
- Deliver regular pipeline reviews and quarterly business updates to regional sales leadership
- Build and sustain senior-level relationships (C-level, engineering leadership, procurement) within target accounts
- Collaborate with marketing on demand generation activities including webinars, seminars, and industry events
What You Bring to the Table
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience in software, SaaS, developer tools, EDA, or related technology solutions
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a direct enterprise sales role
- Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial qualification through contract close
- Native-level Korean and business-level English (internal reporting and global team collaboration conducted in English)
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and standard productivity software
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to structure licensing and pricing proposals independently
Bonus Points For...
- Sales experience targeting automotive or industrial automation customers – semiconductors
- Background of software technology and products in prior experience with developer toolchains (SDK, IDEs, test automation or design tools)
- Familiarity with commercial software licensing models: per-seat, floating, OEM distribution, open-source compliance
- Knowledge of or experience selling against functional safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 62304, DO-178C, MISRA)
- Experience working in or selling for Korea-headquartered global manufacturers (Hyundai, Kia, Samsung SDI, HD Hyundai, LS Electric, etc.) or their international Tier 2 supply chains.
- Indirect sales managing channel partners – resellers or distributors.
