About the Role
Our Customer Engineering team in Korea helps customers succeed with Qt — from the first demo and proof of concept to training, technical support and long-term adoption. We work side by side with Sales on some of Korea's most important accounts in automotive, consumer electronics, industrial, medical and defense.
As a Solutions Engineer, you are the trusted technical advisor for your customers. You understand their business and technical situation, find the right Qt solution, and prove that it works. This role is not only about writing code — it is about using engineering to create real value for the customer and for the business.
Possible locations for this position are Seoul, South Korea.
What You’ll Do
- Own the technical side of customer opportunities together with Sales - from discovery to demo, proof of concept (PoC) and technical win
- Understand each customer's real situation - product goals, constraints, timeline and business drivers - and design Qt-based solutions that solve their problem
- Build and deliver demos, PoCs, workshops, trainings and seminars that show the clear value of Qt products (Qt Framework, Qt Quick / Qt Quick 3D, Qt for MCUs and our quality assurance tools)
- Talk with customers at every level - engineers, architects and managers - about their business needs as well as technology, and turn every conversation into clear next steps
- Use AI tools and workflows to solve problems faster, build demos and create reusable assets for the team
- Bring customer insight back to Qt - capture requirements for Product Management and R&D, and share knowledge across regions
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related field, and 3+ years of software development experience with Qt/QML and C++
- Strong ownership - you take a customer problem from start to finish, and you find a way forward even when the path is not clear
- The ability to talk with customers beyond technology - you listen well, explain clearly, and connect technical solutions to business outcomes
- A business mindset in engineering - you see your work as a way to help customers succeed and the business grow, not only as coding
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (such as AI coding assistants or agents) in daily engineering work, and the curiosity to find new ways to solve problems with AI
- Fluent Korean and good communication skills in English, both written and spoken
Bonus Points For...
- Experience in pre-sales, technical consulting or another customer-facing engineering role
- Experience with Qt Quick 3D, Qt for MCUs, or embedded Linux / MCU platforms
- Domain knowledge in defense, automotive or industrial markets, or experience presenting at seminars and events
