Motion Identity 1.0
Informative, subtle, and multidimensional, these three pillars are our essential guides for creating cohesive, impactful motion design. They should all be used together when crafting animations.
Informative
We make simple, well-crafted choices to tell straight up, engaging stories through motion. By avoiding clutter, we create a balanced look that delivers maximum impact.
Subtle
We use motion to bring value to our audience’s experience. We think outside the box, with subtle twists that elevate expectations.
Multidimensional
Modern software experiences are multidimensional, blending visual depth, motion, interactivity, and context to create dynamic, adaptive interfaces. Therefor we combine 3D movement, transparency, blurs, and dynamic rotations to create depth and fluidity
Motion Formats
We use two different motion formats at Qt Group
Simple
You cant go wrong with this. We use this format when we have limited time and need to create short animations that still maintain Qt Groups look and feel. Length: 1” - 2”.
Experience
We want to show whats possible in software. We use this
when it gives meaning. Length: 2” - 3”.
Logo Animations
Ideal for most productions. It’s used consistently at the end of each video to end the narrative. Can be paired with the final CTA for a unified, impactful ending.
Standard. Slide in, slide out
Experience. Fade, scale and blur in/out.
Text Animations
While custom typography animations can be created for specific projects, they should align with our motion principles.
Standard. Animate up behind a mask, line by line. Easy ease
Experience. Headings. Single & double row. Fade in and out, from left to right via blur. Line by line. Easy ease
Transition Animations
Transitions bring a lively and dynamic touch to videos. But avoid overusing them—simple cuts are still a valid and effective choice for a balanced, polished visual flow.
Standard. Swipe. Easy Ease
Experience. Scale, rotate, flip. Easy ease.
UI Animations
We use the Material 3 Standard easing set as the primary reference for UI animations. For more details, check out the Material 3 motion page.
